After falling in their first two of the weekend against MSU-Denver and Colorado Mesa, the Tigers bounced back for a win in the finale against CSU-Pueblo. Fort Hays State is now 2-2 overall on the season.<br><br><strong>Metro State University-Denver 5, Fort Hays State 0<\/strong><br> Fort Hays State could not generate any points against MSU-Denver on Friday evening. The Roadrunners claimed straight-set wins at the No. 1, 2, 3, and 5 positions, while the No. 4 and 6 matches were left unfinished due to the Roadrunners clinching the match mathematically.<br><br><strong>Colorado Mesa 5, Fort Hays State 0<\/strong><br> Fort Hays State was short a player for the dual with Colorado Mesa. It did not factor into the doubles results as Colorado Mesa won the two contested matches to earn a team point. That secured one team point for FHSU for winning at least two of three doubles matches, even though FHSU would not have fielded a No. 3 team with the shortage.<br><br> The Tigers blitzed through their singles matches, with only one match seeing a CSU-Pueblo player reach three points in a set. At No. 1, Lubbers defeated Hamilton 6-1, 6-2. At No. 2, Moyers defeated Megilligan 6-0, 6-1. At No. 3, Ediger defeated Sporston 6-1, 6-0. At No. 4, Stone defeated Alyssa Wells 6-0, 6-3. At No. 5, Holgerson defeated Roma Cordova 6-1, 6-1. Marissa Sena generated the only team point for CSU-Pueblo by forfeit since the Tigers did not counter with a player at No. 6.<br><br> Fort Hays State returns to action at home this coming week.
