It is unclear what caused the train to derail.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While there are three cars toppled over on the tracks, it is not a concern to the well being of the public, according to officials. The three cars contain ethanol but show no signs of leaking or future exposure.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hays Police and Hays Fire Department established a 300-foot perimeter surrounding the incident as a precaution. There also were a few home evacuations near the area as a safety measure.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the crash, train traffic through Hays will be halted.
