Fort Hays State added 38 points onto the board from the support of their bench.

The Tigers jumped out quick and started the affair on a 14-4 run right before the first media timeout. Fort Hays State shot 4-8 from three-point range in the first quarter, which gave them yet another advantage in this matchup. They would finish 7-22 for 31.8%.

The posts for FHSU were just too much for the much smaller lineup that Bethany College had out on the floor. FHSU finished with 40 points in the point.

Lanie Page led the team in minutes played with 20. The Tigers found themselves down during the second media timeout, 13-17. Brady Werth found two triples in the first half to keep all the momentum from stalling out. Werth finished the half with 13 points and 2-3 from three-point range.

Devin Davis came off the bench and gave a much-needed boost to their offense. Davis logged 13 minutes and four points, but he brought more to the court than just his scoring. Davis sparked scoring opportunities for others with his aggressive play.

McPherson called their first timeout after the Tigers went on a small surge to tie things back up at 23 with 6:07 left.
