VICTORIA, Kan. – Fort Hays State Cross Country began its 2018 season on Saturday (Sept. 1) by hosting the Sand Plum Alumni Open. Bethany College competed against FHSU in the 5 kilometer race, while Tiger alumni also competed.<\/p>\n
Senior Yessenia Gonzales<\/a> led the way for the Tigers with a time of 19:09. Abigail Stewart<\/a> was six seconds behind in a time of 19:15, while Grace Buessing<\/a> posted a time of 19:25.2. Chelsea Jackson<\/a> was the top alum to finish, right on the hip of Buessing in 19:25.4.
