Susan\u00a0<\/span>Bowles\u00a0in June\u00a0and welcome incoming director Michelle Williams\u00a0in July.\u202f<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">Current Executive Director, G. Susan Bowles, announced that she will retire on\u202fJune 30, 2018, after more than 30 years of dedicated service to children and families in the region.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u202f\u201cSusan has been an instrumental part of the Hays Area Children\u2019s Center (HACC) for three decades, serving first as a speech therapist and<\/span>\u00a0in 2013<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">she<\/span>\u00a0took over as the executive director. In her tenure, Susan has touched the lives of thousands of children and helped them get a positive start in life. We thank her for her service and wish her all the best,\u201d said Kristin Herl, HACC Board President.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">Michelle Williams will replace Ms. Bowles, commencing\u202fJuly 1, 2018. \u201cMs. Williams comes to us from West Elementary School in Goodland, Kansas, where she has served as the principal for the last two years. Ms. Williams\u2019 experience with special education, leadership and educational curriculum will be a great asset for HACC,\u201d Herl said.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt\">\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">I\u2019ve been privileged to work with so many children and their families through the Hays Area Children\u2019s Center,\u201d Executive Director Susan Bowles said. \u201cMy time here has given me the opportunity to gain lifelong friendships and wonderful memories. I send my best wishes to the staff at the Center and continued success in their work to help babies and young children thrive.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt\">\u202f<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><b><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">About the Hays Area Children\u2019s Center<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">Founded in 1966, the Hays Area Children\u2019s Center (HACC) is a nonprofit organization that provides and promotes quality care and educational experiences for young children and families.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"background: #F5F4F4\"><span>Because the first years of life are the most crucial stages of development, HACC services help ensure a healthy, positive start for children and their families, primarily in Ellis and Rush counties.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"xxeop\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span style=\"background-color: inherit\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"background-color: inherit\"><span class=\"xxnormaltextrun\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;background: #F5F4F4\">In 2017, HACC served more than 725 children and their families with a range of programs that include free Early Intervention services, developmental screenings,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Maternal and Child Health\u00a0Home Visitor Services for prenatal mothers and post-natal infants and their new parents, and care coordination for children and youth with special health care needs.
