On Thursday, September 14, the Fort Hays State University Student Government Association held a Q&A over the new gun policy, which was enacted due to a law passed through the Kansas State Government, allowing concealed carry permits on public universities.<\/p>\n
With assistance from the FHSU Police Department, SGA President Emily Brandt led the discussion over how permitted students should go about with their weapon on campus.<\/p>\n
“I think that, regardless of the policy,” stated Brandt, “It is always important that students know and understand policies that impact their safety.”<\/p>\n
The next SGA meeting will occur this Thursday, September 21, at 7 p.m. in the Black & Gold Room of the Memorial Union. FHSU students are encouraged to attend in order to keep informed on student issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
