The University Activity Board is bringing us a variety of entertainment acts this semester. On Tuesday, September 12 at 11:30 am, UAB hosted a concert in Cody Commons featuring<\/p>\n
Lamont Landers a Funk Rock musician from Alabama. The style of the event was come and go, however, most students came and stayed.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe decided to book Landers because his sound is just different from other acts…Josh Vietti was hip-hop, Angie Keilhauer, who is performing October 24th, is more of a country artist. We really want to mix it up a bit when it comes to our music events.\u201d said President of UAB Trey Basa.<\/p>\n
Students even weighed in on how much they enjoyed the show being performed at noon.<\/p>\n
\u201cI prefer this! It\u2019s really chill music and you can have a conversation rather than crazy loud bands that come in screaming\u201d said freshman Aubrey Habash.<\/p>\n
UAB\u2019s next event is their Friday Film Works at 7 pm in the Memorial Union 014. The feature movie for this film works is Baby Driver.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
