NEW ORLEANS – Fort Hays State Men’s Track and Field held on to its national ranking in the latest USTFCCCA National Rankings released on Monday (May 22). The Tigers remained No. 18 in the nation for the second straight week as they enter the NCAA Outdoor Championships.<\/p>\n

Fort Hays State has 52.77 points in the latest computer rankings, down just a bit from the last poll but remains in the No. 18 position. FHSU is one of five schools from the MIAA in the rankings, which includes Lincoln (No. 3), Missouri Southern (No. 8), Central Missouri (No. 11), and Pittsburg State (No. 15).<\/p>\n

Five FHSU men will compete at the NCAA Championships this coming weekend in Bradenton, Fla. The list includes Dillando Allotey (200 and 400 meters), Decano Cronin (800 meters), Brett Meyer (800 meters), Kolt Newell (high jump), and TJ Dozier (discus).<\/p>\n

The FHSU women slipped from the top 25 of the national rankings this week after a four-week stay. Kelly Wycoff (200 and 400 meters), Alexcia Deutscher (javelin), and Micki Krzesinski (10,000 meters) will represent FHSU at nationals. The FHSU women were No. 23 in last week’s rankings.<\/p>\n
