The Tiger men continued their vault up the rankings, now No. 18 with a five-spot jump in the latest poll. The Tiger women slipped just one spot to No. 23 after holding the No. 22 ranking the last two weeks. The FHSU women have been ranked four consecutive weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Following a weekend of improved marks, the FHSU men jumped from No. 23 in the nation to No. 18 in the latest release. In a matter of two weeks, the Tigers have jumped 14 spots in the computer system after going from 32nd on the list to No. 23 last week. Decano Cronin moved up to No. 3 on the national performance list in the 800 meters, while Brett Meyer improved to No. 9 in the same event. Kolt Newell produced a new personal best 6-foot, 11-inch leap in the high jump and ranks ninth nationally in the event. The men generated 53.63 points in the poll this week.<\/p>\n<p>The FHSU women dropped a bit in computer points generated this week with 49.89. Kelly Wycoff improved her time in the 200 meters this past weekend to help the team&#8217;s overall performance on the national charts.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, the MIAA has five nationally ranked teams and is the most powerful conference in the computer points index with 566.92. The GLIAC is the closest with 525.91 points. Ahead of the FHSU in the poll from the MIAA is Lincoln (No. 3), Missouri Southern (No. 8), Central Missouri (No. 11), and Pittsburg State (No. 17). On the women&#8217;s side, the MIAA has four nationally ranked teams with Pittsburg State at No. 2, Lincoln at No. 17, and Southwest Baptist at No. 18 before the Tigers at No. 23.
