The theme for Fort Hays State University\u2019s 2017 Homecoming has been selected through a survey of students, faculty, staff and community members. \u201cTigers Through the Decades\u201d was the theme selected. According to FHSU\u2019s Coordinator of Student Involvement and Chair of the Homecoming Committee, Brittney Squire, \u201cthe theme was selected to commemorate the history of the university, and honor alumni and friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

An inspirational theme is selected each year for Homecoming, but this year\u2019s theme was the first to be selected based on a survey. Squire also stated \u201cthe survey, conducted by the committee annually after Homecoming, is sent to students, faculty, staff, and the community members with the intention of improving the slate of Homecoming activities.\u201d This year, survey participants also had the opportunity to select one theme from a list of 10 options which they believed best conveyed Tiger spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from the theme, the events for 2017 Homecoming are also set. Homecoming activities will take place Thursday, October 5 through Sunday, October 8. Events are as follows…<\/span><\/p>\n
