Curious about foreign films and looking for opportunities to expand your horizons, the Department of Modern Languages has an event for you. The first event in the German film series will take place Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. in Albertson 169.<\/p>\n
For their premier event the series will show Kokow\u00e4\u00e4h, the story of Henry, a writer who \u201chas had a run of bad luck in both his love life and his work life,\u201d according to the departmental press release.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is offered work on adapting a bestseller with the author, who happens to be his ex-girlfriend, Catherine. He also happens to be in love with her. Then, an 8-year-old girl, who happens to be the daughter he didn’t know he had, turns up on his doorstep,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n
The department also sponsors “Kaffeestunde,” translated means “coffee” and “study,” according to the release.<\/p>\n
The Kafeestunde\u2019s are held at 5 p.m. Tuesdays behind Starbucks in the Memorial Union. The department would like to invite \u201cstudents, faculty and members of the Hays community,\u201d according to the release. The events are free to attend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
