FHSU SPORTS INFORMATION DEPARTMENT<\/p>\n

Fort Hays State had five student-athletes earn the MIAA Academic Excellence Award for 2015-16. Earning the honors were Jessica Babyak\u00a0(women’s soccer), Erin Elmore\u00a0(softball), Kailey Klibbe\u00a0(volleyball), Lisa Penner\u00a0(women’s cross country\/track and field), and Taylor Tustin\u00a0(women’s cross country\/track and field). The Academic Excellence Award goes to student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average.<\/p>\n

Elmore was the only repeat recipient of the award for the Tigers this year as the other four were freshmen in 2015-16. Elmore, a senior this year, maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout her playing career that included two years at Rose State College in Oklahoma and two years at FHSU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
