Fort Hays State plays its regular season finale at Central Oklahoma on Saturday (Feb. 27) in Edmond. The Tigers are in a three-way tie for second in the MIAA entering the final day of the season, tied with Nebraska-Kearney and Missouri Southern.<\/p>\n
Fort Hays State locked up a bye in the first round of the MIAA Tournament on Thursday night with an 87-84 win at Northeastern State. The Tigers will now be either the No. 2, No. 3, or No. 4 seed in the MIAA Tournament pending the outcome of their game and the Nebraska-Kearney and Missouri Southern games.<\/p>\n
The Tigers enter Saturday on a four-game win streak. FHSU defeated Central Oklahoma earlier this year in Hays by a score of 91-74. In that game, Rob Davis scored 36 points and hit a season-high eight 3-point field goals. Davis leads the Tigers in scoring at 17.5 points per game.<\/p>\n
Craig Nicholson passed 1,400 points in his career on Thursday, now with 1,405. He is sixth on the all-time scoring list at FHSU, while adding the second-most assists (616) in FHSU history.<\/p>\n
