The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a way to transform Dr. King\u2019s life and teachings into community service that helps empower and strengthen local communities.<\/p>\n
On January 30th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm Tigers in Service, CSI and Diversity Affairs are joining together to create an event called Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. This event is an activity to make Valentine\u2019s Day cards which represent all the love that Martin Luther King Jr. had for others. The cards will then be delivered to residents at a retirement home in the Hays community.<\/p>\n
This event will be held in the Memorial Union.<\/span><\/p>\n Nationally MLK Day of Service is\u00a0\u00a0a part of United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.<\/p>\n As MLK once said, \u201cI have decided to stick with love.
