\"JakeBosci<\/a>From the moment \u201cHeartbreak\u201d introduces itself, Bosci\u2019s signature hushed tones make a welcome appearance, accompanied only by a mere finger-picked acoustic guitar and sporadic drum beats. One of Bosci\u2019s biggest strengths is his poetic nature, his poignancy and relatability that flows seamlessly throughout very nearly every track that he\u2019s ever released, and this is no exception. Dealing with losing the love of your life, trying desperately to assess whether there\u2019s anything more that you could have done to rescue it, and ultimately coming to terms with the fact that the person your heart beats for is never coming back – it\u2019s something that audiences will have experienced at some point in their lifetime. It\u2019s cruel, it\u2019s wounding, there\u2019s no other emotional hurt quite like it, it\u2019s \u201cHeartbreak\u201d. \u201cNow I sit alone in crowded bars\u201d, Bosci admits, \u201cwaiting for the next girl to break my heart\u201d. Encircling his solemn tone and the bleakness of the lyrics, instrumentally it\u2019s far more positive. There are enthusiastic handclaps, vibrant guitars, a distant piano and subtle bells and playful whistles – it makes for a compelling contrast and serves as a reminder that, just like heartbreak itself, things are never as dark and insurmountable as they may initially seem. There\u2019s always a semblance of light somewhere that will guide us. As the track progresses, there\u2019s a sudden halt to the momentum. Just when it seems the track should explode, soar and elevate to new heights, it momentarily stalls and descends into a form of quiet reflectiveness once more.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou loved me, then you left me
\nBroken and abandoned
\nI\u2019ll make it to the surface
\nI just, I just need some time\u2026\u201d
\n– \u201cHeartbreak\u201d<\/p>\n

And with that beautiful admission during the bridge, it\u2019s the finest moment that \u201cHeartbreak\u201d has to offer its listeners. The urgency reappears soon after, a lovely violin waltzes into proceedings and lifts the overall mood, and although Bosci keeps repeating, \u201cI can\u2019t break out of this heartbreak\u201d, you know that with the benefit of time and boundless inner strength, he belatedly will.<\/p>\n

Bosci has finished recording his debut EP slated for release in late 2015. For now, we get a taste of things to come with his debut single \u201cHeartbreak\u201d accompanied by a beautifully shot debut video!<\/p>\n
