{"id":19806,"date":"2015-04-21T20:30:26","date_gmt":"2015-04-22T01:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tigermedianet.com\/?p=19806"},"modified":"2017-08-14T10:46:25","modified_gmt":"2017-08-14T15:46:25","slug":"fhsu-greek-life-to-host-7th-annual-walk-a-mile-philanthropy-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tigermedianet.com\/?p=19806","title":{"rendered":"FHSU Greek Life to host 7th annual  Walk-A-Mile philanthropy event"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Men from Fort Hays State University fraternities will host the seventh annual &#8220;Walk-A-Mile in Her Shoes&#8221; philanthropy event at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_609501085\"><span class=\"aQJ\">6 p.m.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_609501086\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Monday, April 27<\/span><\/span>, on the Memorial Union Patio to raise money and awareness for the victims of sexual and domestic abuse.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">All proceeds will go to Jana&#8217;s Campaign and Options Domestic and Sexual Violence Services, Hays-based organizations that provide a variety of services to the victims of sexual and physical abuse in western and central Kansas.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">The night will include men walking the ceremonial one-mile walk through the FHSU campus while wearing high heels in honor of the victims of these crimes.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">This event is open to the public.
