Fort Hays State women’s basketball coach Tony Hobson<\/a><\/dfn> announced the signing of three student-athletes for the 2015-16 season. All three are currently seniors at their respective high schools. Joining the Tigers next year will be Tatyana Legette, Carly Heim, and Rachel Doll.<\/p>\n

“I think we have a well-rounded signing group for our fall period,” Hobson said. \u00a0“We have a good point guard from Hoxie who is a proven winner in Carly Heim, we have a good power forward from the Topeka area in Tatyana, who was the city Player of the Year as a junior, and in Rachel we have a solid player from Ellinwood who has a good opportunity to be a strong wing player for us. \u00a0We expect to sign 2-3 more players in the spring to fill out a strong class.”<\/p>\n

Legette is currently in her senior season at Topeka Seaman High School in Topeka, Kan. She was the 2013-14 Topeka Capital Journal<\/em> City Player of the Year as junior, averaging 14 points and 10.5 rebounds per game and helping her team to a Kansas Class 5A State Tournament appearance. She was an All-State First Team selection by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) and an All-Class Third Team selection by Kansas-Sports.com, named as one of the top 30 players in the state. As a sophomore in 2012-13, she was named to the KBCA Class 5A All-State Second Team.<\/p>\n

Heim is currently a senior at Hoxie High School in Hoxie, Kan. She was a KBCA All-State First Team selection in Class 1A as a junior. She was also named to the All-Class Second Team by Kansas-Sports.com and All-Class Third Team by VarsityKansas.com. She averaged 15 points per game, helping Hoxie to its third-consecutive state championship last year. In three years, she has helped Hoxie to an overall record of 76-1 and a perfect 26-0 record in 2013-14 and 2012-13. She was also a KBCA All-State First Team selection as a sophomore in 2013 and an honorable mention selection as a freshman in 2012.<\/p>\n

Doll is currently a senior at Ellinwood High School in Ellinwood, Kan. As a junior, she averaged 12 points per game, earning Kansas Class 2A All-State Honorable Mention honors by VarsityKansas.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
