Fort Hays State women’s cross country placed fourth at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships, its highest-ever finish in the event since joining the conference in 2006,\u00a0Saturday<\/span><\/span> morning in Bolivar, Mo. The Tigers were led by Chelsea Jackson<\/a><\/dfn> and Micki Krzesinski<\/a><\/dfn>, who turned in All-MIAA Honorable Mention performances.<\/p>\n

The Tigers finished with 106 points, just six behind third-place finisher Pittsburg State. Missouri Southern won the event with 44 points, with all five of its scorers in the top 15, while Southwest Baptist finished second with 70 points.<\/p>\n

Jackson covered the 6K course in a time of 22:33<\/span><\/span> to finish 11th overall. Krzesinski finished in 18th in a time of 23:06<\/span><\/span>. The top 10 runners in the race are named All-MIAA, while the 11th through 20th place runners receive honorable mention.<\/p>\n

Amanda Morgan<\/a><\/dfn> was just one place off giving FHSU three all-conference performers as she finished 21st in 23:23<\/span><\/span>. Hannah Robinson<\/a><\/dfn> was 26th in a time of 23:37<\/span><\/span>, while Shea Bonine<\/a><\/dfn> rounded out the scoring for FHSU in 23:48<\/span><\/span>. Sydney Lower<\/a><\/dfn> was the sixth Tiger to cross the line in 34th at 23:54<\/span><\/span>, while Ramsey McCarter<\/a><\/dfn>was seventh among her team in 24:10, placing 42nd.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth Luckel of Southwest Baptist was the individual champion in a time of 21:38<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n
