Now, as the drive comes to a close, donated items will be available to those in need during a free community distribution event on Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCommunity Threads is a clothing exchange program started by the library several years ago,\u201d said HPL Marketing Coordinator Callie Kolacny. \u201cCommunity members can donate clothing for all ages, and then the items are sorted and made available\u2014for free\u2014to anyone who needs them. The event is open to everyone in the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the project is being coordinated by the library\u2019s Teen Advisory Board, who encourage donations of new or gently used clothing in good condition. All sizes and styles are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe also accept shoes, coats, gloves, hats, and other accessories,\u201d Kolacny said. \u201cThere are no limits\u2014attendees can take as many items as they need.
