The FHSU Online Student Government Association met on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OSGA President Heather Flick announced the results of the spring election. The senators for next year are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Executive elections will take place during the last senate meeting of the school year on May 12. Senators can nominate candidates for those positions and then votes will be cast through Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last senate meeting will also introduce the new faculty advisors. Offers have been extended to Professor Elodie Jones, Assistant Professor Matthew Clay and Vice President for Student Affairs Joey Linn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe hope is that they either accept or decline and we will be able to introduce them to everyone at the May meeting,\u201d Flick said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flick provided an update on some of the resolutions created by the Student Relations Committee, such as the timely grading resolution which passed through OSGA in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs far as Faculty Senate, moving those items through their committees, and then their general Faculty Senate, they are willing and excited to address those, but due to the lack of time<\/p>\n\n\n\n

at this point in the academic year, there’s nothing they can do with those until the next academic year,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Relations Committee is also working on an informational document on how to conduct the online student survey so that future OSGA senators can use that as a resource.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public Relations Officer Eileen Moore reflected on the success of the Town Hall last week as well as the Tiger Talk series.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is my hope that we are really going to start fostering connection with the University, especially for those who are far away and can’t come here,\u201d Moore said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, Flick was impressed with the virtual Town Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe overall outcome was exactly what we hoped for,\u201d Flick said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OSGA plans to continue those events next year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
