The Hornets took the lead early in the second half, but <a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/9d3f8055-dac5-4f47-9d2a-bffb45b31944?elinkdata=192246\">Megan Wiman<\/a> leveled the match for the Tigers with about ten minutes remaining. The Tigers move to 4-0-2 on the year and the Hornets tie for the first time moving to 1-4-1.<br><br> The Emporia State offense was very active in the first half as they took ten shots with four on target. After a scoreless first half, the Hornets broke through when Aislinn Hughes headed in a corner from Hannah Woolery. The Tigers found the equalizer in the 80<sup>th<\/sup> minute when a <a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/26ffc810-eec6-4ac9-a64c-e0f61cdf051e?elinkdata=192246\">Reilly Madden<\/a> free kick was knocked out of the box by a Hornet defender and directed to Wiman, who delivered a strike of magic from well outside the box by chipping the ball perfectly over the keeper&#8217;s head into the upper left corner of the net.<br><br> The Hornets finished with 18 shots, eight on target, compared to seven shots by the Tigers, with three placed on goal. Keeper <a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/ae6a6856-3e79-4c47-a9d6-0cb122eb492c?elinkdata=192246\">Isabel Robben<\/a> made a strong showing in goal for the Tigers posting seven saves compared to two by Mackenzi Goen.<br><br> The Tigers will be back at home next week as they host Washburn in their final non-conference match on Friday (Sep. 16) before they opening conference play with Emporia State on Sunday (Sep. 18). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KEARNEY,\nNeb. &#8211; The FHSU women&#8217;s soccer team took down Nebraska-Kearney 1-0 on Friday\n(Sept. 9). The Tigers netted their lone goal in the first half and held off the\nLopers to pick up their third consecutive shutout and fourth overall for the\nseason. Fort Hays State improved to 4-0-1, while UNK fell to 0-4-1.\n\nThe Tiger defense made an impressive showing as\nthey did not allow a single shot to the Lopers in the first half. FHSU netted\nits lone goal in the 32<sup>nd<\/sup> minute when <a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/de690c22-15fb-43cb-8402-caedc958c73d?elinkdata=192086\">Montserrat\nDiaz<\/a> collected a <a href=\"http:\/\/fhsuathletics.com\/services\/go.ashx\/b4fc8919-ea90-4c63-90ac-06de46a36239?elinkdata=192086\">Reilly\nMadden<\/a> pass that ricocheted off a UNK player.
