ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Fort Hays State Tennis fell at Missouri Western on Friday (Apr. 2) by a score of 7-0. It was the third straight regionally ranked opponent the Tigers faced as they moved to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the MIAA on the season. The Griffons improved to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the MIAA.

The No. 2 doubles team of Grace Holgerson<\/a> and Fiorella Mendez<\/a> played their opponent closest, falling 6-3. Mendez also produced the most games won in singles action, falling 6-2, 6-2 in her match with Karolina Strom. Stefany Stemmer<\/a> and Kylie Aufdengarten<\/a> each won two games in their singles matches. All singles matches were decided in straight sets. Kimberly Stone<\/a> played an exhibition singles match and fell 8-6.
