Democratic challenger Eber Phelps earned 3,954 votes (36%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you to all who worked for my re-election, and I am honored to be able to serve the 111<sup>th<\/sup> District for another term,\u201d Wasinger told Tiger Media Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wasinger\u2019s dominating win comes after narrowly defeating\nPhelps by 35 votes in the 2018 election cycle. She posted nearly 2,700 more\nvotes in this year\u2019s election than she received just two years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voter turnout for Ellis County was 71%, which exceeded the 59%\nin 2018 and the 66% during the last presidential election in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom Drees won the uncontested race for 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\nJudicial District 1<sup>st<\/sup> Division judge with 11,182 votes, while Glenn\nBraun received 11,551 votes to win the uncontested race for 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\nDivision judge in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drees has served as the Ellis County Attorney for several years\nbut decided to run for the judiciary position. Robert Anderson Jr. won the\nuncontested race for county attorney with 11,334 votes. Anderson defeated\nassistant county attorney Chris Lyon in the primary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Republican Neal Younger, who defeated incumbent Dustin Roths\nin the primary, won the race for Ellis County commissioner in the second district\nwith 3,665 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Republican incumbent Dean Haselhorst claimed 3,556 votes in\nthe third district race for Ellis County Commission to reclaim his seat over\nchallenger L.R. Boyd (991 votes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bobbi Dreiling won the election for new Ellis County clerk,\nclaiming 11,159 votes. Donna Maskus, longtime county clerk, did not run for\nre-election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vernon Ruder Jr. will be the new Ellis County treasurer. He\nreceived 8,517 votes, easily topping Democrat Julie Mercer (2,871). There were\n1,528 write-in votes. The office was held by Lisa Schlegel, who Ruder defeated\nin the primary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 11,406 votes carried Rebecca Herzog as the county\u2019s\nregister of deeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undersheriff Scott Braun will take over as the county\u2019s\nsheriff after receiving 11,692 votes. He will take over for longtime sheriff Ed\nHarbin, who is retiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Donald Trump won Ellis County with 71% of the\nvote. The president secured 9,423 votes compared to Democratic candidate Joe\nBiden\u2019s 3,554. Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen earned 295 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the U.S. Senate race from Ellis County, Republican Roger\nMarshall earned 68% of the county voters, or 8,999 votes. Democrat Barbara\nBollier had 28% of votes (3,715). The Senate seat is held by retiring Pat\nRoberts, a Republican.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Republican Tracey Mann earned 72% (9,375 votes) in Ellis\nCounty in the Big First U.S. House of Representatives race. Democrat Kali\nBarnett had 3,658 votes. The seat is held by Marshall, who is running for a U.S.\nSenate seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incumbent Rick Billinger heavily carried Ellis County with\n8,639 votes (66%) over Democratic challenger Larry Dreiling (4,420 votes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All results are unofficial until canvassed by the county\ncommission.
