NEW ORLEANS – The Fort Hays State men’s and women’s track\nand field programs both earned the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award for the\nfourth year in a row, announced Thursday (July 16) by the organization. The\nTigers were also well represented on the individuals list, with seven\nstudent-athletes earning All-Academic Individual honors.

\nStudent-athletes earning the All-Academic award include Peri\nLange<\/a>, Layne\nNeedham<\/a>, Lindsay\nShupe<\/a>, Lucas\nBroxterman<\/a>, Mark\nFaber<\/a>, Xavier\nRobinson<\/a> and Ryan\nStanley<\/a>.

\nTo qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic award, student-athletes must compile a\ncumulative grade point average of 3.25 and reach a provisional or automatic\nqualifying standard for the NCAA Championships in either indoor or outdoor\nseasons.
\n
\nLucas\nBroxterman<\/a> and Ryan\nStanley<\/a> both earned the distinction for a second time, with\nStanley being listed for the second year in a row and Broxterman adding to his\nhonor in 2018.
\n
\nVaulters Mark\nFaber<\/a> and Ryan\nStanley<\/a> were two of just 15 individuals on the men’s side to\nearn the All-Academic award with a perfect 4.00 GPA. The Tigers were one of\njust five men’s squads with multiple perfect GPAs.
\n
\nTo earn the team academic distinction, a program must have a cumulative GPA of\n3.0 or higher. The Tiger women amassed a 3.567 GPA, third-best among MIAA programs,\nwhile Tiger men accumulated a 3.306 GPA to earn the honor, second-best among\nleague rivals. A total of 263 NCAA DII programs earned All-Academic Team status\nin 2019-20, including 149 women’s teams and 114 men’s programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
