\n\nMANHEIM, Pa. – The Fort Hays State wrestling team had six individuals earn All-Academic honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II All-Academic Team, he must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.0 for those who qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships. The athlete must also be in at least a second full semester at his school and have competed in a minimum of six dates of competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior Micquille Robinson<\/a>, junior Brandon Ball<\/a>, redshirt-freshmen Jonathan Ball<\/a>, Anthony Scantlin<\/a> and Conrad Vajnar<\/a>, and true freshman Isaiah Luellen<\/a> were all named to the All-Academic team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Micquille Robinson<\/a> earned All-Academic honors for his work within the Construction Management realm. The Wichita, Kan. native completed his senior season with an overall record of 35-10 and went 15-8 against Division II opponents. Robinson wrestled in the 184-pound weight class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brandon Ball<\/a> earned a spot on the All-Academic team for his work within the Technology Studies field. Ball completed his junior year as an All-American after finishing fourth at the NCAA Division II Championships in the 141-pound weight class. Ball finished the year with a 28-2 overall record, including a 25-2 clip against Division II competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jonathan Ball<\/a> makes the All-Academic team for his dedication in the Finance field. The redshirt-sophomore finished the season with a 19-10 overall record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anthony Scantlin<\/a> earned All-Academic honors for his work in the Technology Studies realm. Scantlin finished the season with a 4-7 overall record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
